Regional conference for the dissemination of the results obtained so far within the project "IncludeROMOltenia - Social Inclusion and Empowerment of the Roma from Oltenia"

ROMANIȚA HUMANITARIAN ASSOCIATION organized on June 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the conference room of the "EUROPECA" hotel in Craiova the regional conference to disseminate the results obtained so far within the project "IncluziROMOltenia - Social Inclusion and empowerment of Roma from Oltenia”, code PN1018project implemented by the Romanian Humanitarian Association in partnership with "Luca Solomon" Vaideeni High School, Catane High School - Dolj, "Speranța Pentru Valea Verde" Association - Polovragi, Mărgaritesti High School - Olt, Regional Association for Entrepreneurial Development Oltenia (ARDA Oltenia) and the Eurom Social Construct Association.

The project runs from 01.07.2021 – 28.02.2023 and its main objective is to increase the degree of social inclusion and empower Roma by implementing integrated measures and oriented towards the needs of marginalized communities in the localities of Vaideeni (Vâlcea), Polovragi (Gorj), Vânjulet ( Mehedinți), Voineasa (Olt) and Catane (Dolj) being intended for a number of 950 people in situations of vulnerability, risk or facing various forms of socio-economic exclusion and a number of 75 volunteer specialists in the fields of education, health , employment, social services, public administration, the NGO sector, etc. involved in the provision of community services for people in vulnerable situations.

The financing of the project is provided by the EEA and Norwegian Grants 2014-2021, it takes place over a period of 20 months and has a total value of 3,145,645.71 lei.

On May 1, 2022, the "School after School" program for primary and secondary school students at risk of dropping out of school at Luca Solomon Vaideeni High School (Vâlcea), Catane High School (Dolj), High School Voineasa (Olt). Through the program, the proper implementation of a wide range of activities complementary to didactic ones is pursued, as follows: development of school skills and completion of homework, remedial activities, extracurricular activities, socialization activities - instructive and recreational.

In the months of May and June, theoretical and practical training activities were carried out for 75 specialists and volunteers from the fields of education, health, employment, social services, public administration, the NGO sector in dealing with Roma people (social mediator courses) . The duration of the course was 84 hours. 

On the regional conference to disseminate the results obtained so far within the project "IncluziROMOltenia - Social Inclusion and empowerment of Roma from Oltenia” participated 100 people - representatives of local and county institutions and NGOs, involved in the provision of services, especially regarding Roma communities.
