SCHOOL TRIPS organized in the periods 2-5 August 2022 and 9-12 August 2022

ROMANIȚA HUMANITARIAN ASSOCIATION organized in the periods 2-5 August 2022 and 9-12 August 2022 within the project "IncludeROMOltenia - Social Inclusion and Empowerment of Roma from Oltenia, code PN1018, three school trips in Rucăr town, Brașov county. The project is implemented by the Romanita Humanitarian Association in partnership with the "Luca Solomon" Vaideeni High School, the Catane - Dolj High School, the "Speranța Pentru Valea Verde" Association - Polovragi, the Mărgaritesti High School - Olt, the Oltenia Regional Association for Entrepreneurial Development (ARDA Oltenia) and the Eurom Social Construct Association.

The organization of school trips alongside the activities carried out in leisure clubs for children contributes to the promotion of interculturality and equal opportunities among children and directly to the achievement of the specific objective OS1: Increasing access and quality of services for 950 people of Roma ethnicity from the localities of Vaideeni (Vâlcea), Catane (Dolj), Voineasa (Olt), Polovragi (Gorj) and Vânjuleț (Mehedinți) in situations of vulnerability, risk or facing various forms of social exclusion through the integrated measures offered in the fields of social assistance, education, employment, health and housing for 20 months.

The trips were intended for a total number of 100 children (40 children from the localities of Vaideeni and Catane and 20 children from the locality of Voineasa), coming from families at risk of marginalization and poverty, beneficiaries of educational measures, and lasted for of 4 days, with 3 nights of accommodation, all meals and round-trip transport by coach being provided. The children were accompanied by educational instructors for leisure activities and supervising teachers.

The activities with the children were handled by socio-educational animators from the organizers of the school trips. Among the activities included in the program were:

• Outdoor games and activities that develop team spirit, coordination skills and highlight children's creativity and attention;
• Sport activities;
• Visits to historical tourist attractions in the vicinity (Bran Castle and Dino Park);
• Team contests;
• Thematic presentations.
