"The poor state of health and the lack of access to medical services adequate to the needs are problems faced by the majority of the members of the Roma communities in the countryside, everywhere in Romania. In order to change this state of affairs, with the support of SEE Grants 2014-2021, Asociația Umanităra Romanița has started a series of information, awareness and promotion campaigns of the importance of health and a healthy lifestyle, basic rules of hygiene, planning of family and sex education, in 5 rural communities in Oltenia: Vaideeni (Vâlcea county), Polovragi (Gorj county), Vânjuleț (Mehedinți county), Voineasa (Olt county) and Catane (Dolj county).
